The name of the photo artist Gintautas Stulgaitis was first heard by the majority of the public only in 2011 at the National Gallery of Art, in the exhibition “ZOO Photography. Kaunas. The Last Decade of the Soviet Era”, which became a discovery not only for ordinary viewers, but also for many art experts. Having tried the still life genre at the very beginning of his career, he has worked consistently on this genre throughout his life, however, portraits are an equally important part of the photographic archive of his.
