The Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania has proclaimed 2020 as the Year of the Vilna Gaon and the History of Lithuanian Jews. The Šiauliai “Aušra” Museum continues the tradition and introduces the material and spiritual heritage of Jewish culture in Lithuania. In its collections, the Museum is proud to have particularly valuable Judaism iconography. This material has made a significant contribution to the inclusion of Jewish culture in the general cultural heritage of Lithuania. G. Bagdonavičius' drawings have a special place in the preservation of Litvak history.
